“We heard you. We’re coming”: SOAD announce South America stadium tour
Thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long to find out what System Of A Down were teasing: the band will be hitting some massive places in South America in the spring…
In conjunction with the release of their new Black Album, Weezer and Knockaround Sunglasses have revealed their collaborative Fort Knocks shades.
In conjunction with the release of their new Black Album, Weezer have teamed up with San Diego-based eyewear company Knockaround Sunglasses to release a run of exclusive, limited-edition sunglasses. The shades are part of Knockaround's Fort Knocks line, which focus on style, durability, and comfort.
The Knockaround / Weezer collaboration features a translucent glossy black frame with tonal, deep black paint dripping from the top -- inspired by the artwork for the Black Album. Polarized black smoke lenses provide full UV400-sun protection, with the iconic Weezer logo present in the top corner of the left lens.
Also included on the exclusive semi-translucent right arm of the glasses is the lyric 'The Future's So Bright I Gotta Poke My Eyes Out' -- a lyric from the band's new track Can't Knock The Hustle.
The new Knockaround x Weezer Fort Knocks costs $45, and comes with the following:
Also included the shades is an exclusive bright yellow cassette version of the Black Album, exclusive to only this collaboration, which is sure to become an insane collector's item in the near future and should be jumped on by diehard fans.
“We are excited to announce our newest collaborative sunglasses with Weezer,” says Knockaround Founder & CEO Adam ‘Ace’ Moyer. “As a classic California rock band, Weezer represents that fun, quirky, laid-back style that many associate with SoCal. They definitely have a vibe that meshes well with Knockaround, and when we saw the name of the debut single from the Black Album, we just knew this collaboration would be an awesome fit.”
“The future’s so bright I’m NOT going to have to poke my eyes out, thanks to our Black Album inspired sunglasses with Knockaround,” says Weezer guitarist Brian Bell, pictured below in his new Fort Knocks.
The glasses are on sale right now, and can be found on Knockaround's website.
