Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
If you weren’t there to catch Slipknot’s first two shows with Eloy Casagrande, then watch the drummer performing People = Shit and The Heretic Anthem from his own YouTube channel a couple of years back!
Earlier this week, Slipknot made it social media official that Eloy Casagrande was their new drummer.
And if you weren’t around in the States to catch their first couple of shows with him – at Pappy + Harriet’s and Sick New World – then the good news is you can still see just how badass he is from the comfort of your own home… because he’d already covered the ’Knot a few years ago online!
Over on Eloy’s official YouTube channel, the drummer had uploaded a couple of different Slipknot covers in 2020 and 2021 – seemingly already preparing for his new job one day. And perhaps the band’s iconic 2001 album Iowa is Eloy’s favourite, given that he shared videos covering People = Shit and The Heretic Anthem. Both are killer, obviously, but the view of his double kick drum pedals on the latter cover is definitely our favourite part… simply mind-blowing.
Watch both covers below:
