While we’re still not over Slipknot’s incredible Here Comes The Pain tour hitting UK shores last month, some new (old) live footage of an unmasked soundcheck from back in the day is keeping us going.

@slipknotvideos_ have uploaded a fantastic 2000-era soundcheck snippet on Instagram featuring The Nine tearing through Liberate, without their iconic boilersuits and masks that we’ve all seen a million times over the years. The reason for this recent unique upload is that it was apparently a New Year’s Day performance in their hometown of Des Moines, Iowa at the venue Super Toad, obviously captured before they put all the gear on.

The caption – translated via Google – reads: “The new millennium comes with Slipknot appearing in Des Moines on Super Toad. The performance happened exactly on January 1, 2000. In addition to a spectacular complete recording of the show, the sound check was also recorded.”

Enjoy…
