“We heard you. We’re coming”: SOAD announce South America stadium tour
Thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long to find out what System Of A Down were teasing: the band will be hitting some massive places in South America in the spring…
System Of A Down, Korn and Faith No More's massive stadium dates have been pushed back yet again.
One of the most talked about stadium bills of recent times – a mammoth line-up of System Of A Down, Korn and Faith No More, plus support – has once again been pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The trio of metal titans had originally planned to take on Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium for two nights last May, before postponing the pair of dates for an entire year. Once again, though, they've been rescheduled, and will now be happening later on in the year.
SOAD, Korn and Faith No More will be joined by Helmet and Russian Circles on October 22 and 23 in California, with a statement reading: "Our shows at the Banc Of California Stadium in May have now been rescheduled to October 22 and 23. Your ticket will be honored accordingly. If you cannot make the new date or prefer a refund, you should have received an email with your refund options. If you did not receive an email, please contact your point of purchase. For more information please visit: livenation.com/refund.
"Hopefully this will be the last time the dates are moved because we’re very excited to see you all ASAP."
Of course, as frustrating as this wait has surely been both for fans and the artists involved, the rescheduling does now mean that System will be getting the opportunity to play new music at these massive gigs, having released charity comeback singles Protect The Land and Genocidal Humanoidz late last year.
Hinting at what else might come, frontman Serj Tankian said last month that, "The future is unseen. We will see what happens. The vibe is very positive. As long as we’re on the same page, we can continue doing stuff, if we’re on the same page…"
