“We heard you. We’re coming”: SOAD announce South America stadium tour
Thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long to find out what System Of A Down were teasing: the band will be hitting some massive places in South America in the spring…
System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian has slammed Donald Trump for a last-minute order while he was president that affects the band's native Armenia.
The members of System Of A Down have been incredibly outspoken about Donald Trump these past four years – both in favour of the 45th president (in the case of John Dolmayan), and against. And with Serj Tankian falling in the latter category, the frontman has called out Trump for a last-minute order before he left office and Joe Biden was inaugurated.
Serj took to Facebook to state that he had "never seen a president suck so much cock" after the Trump Administration granted Turkey legal rights over "the vast religio-cultural heritage of the region’s indigenous peoples and other minority populations" – which includes Armenia, of which all four members of the band have heritage (it will also affect Greeks, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Syriacs, Arameans, Maronites, Jews and Kurds).
"Thanks Trump," wrote the frontman sarcastically. "In your last minute you decided to grant Turkey my people’s indigenous cultural heritage including ancient churches and stone crosses as a reward for them trying to exterminate us.
"Never seen a president suck so much cock."

“This reckless and irresponsible move was done over the protests of the ANCA, the Hellenic American Leadership Council, and In Defense of Christians by an Administration well aware that Turkey has openly, unapologetically, and systematically spent the past two centuries destroying minorities, desecrating their holy sites, and erasing even their memory from the landscape of their ancient, indigenous homelands,” said ANCA Executive Director Aram Hamparian (via Asbarez).
IDC President Toufic Baaklini added, “This MOU is a shameful stamp of American approval on the destruction of Christian cultural heritage in Turkey. We will work with the incoming Biden Administration to ensure U.S. policy towards Turkey will be much stronger moving forward.”

Ahead of last year's election, Serj admitted of the political situation in America, “I was a Bernie [Sanders] supporter, I still am. I feel like he still would’ve been the best choice going forward. But I’m okay with [Joe] Biden. I’m happy that they’ve made that statement. The elections are coming up and normally I’m very vocal, but this war and the daily death toll has really taken up my full spectrum of focus.”
