“We heard you. We’re coming”: SOAD announce South America stadium tour
Thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long to find out what System Of A Down were teasing: the band will be hitting some massive places in South America in the spring…
The upcoming Truth To Power documentary will take a look at System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian's activism.
Serj Tankian has just confirmed details of a brand new documentary, Truth To Power, detailing his journey "through the turbulent intersection of music and activism over three decades".
The System Of A Down frontman is the main subject of the film and will be interviewed as well as showing his own footage throughout, while there will also be interviews with Serj's bandmates, Rage Against The Machine guitarist/fellow activist Tom Morello, and producer Rick Rubin.

In a 2018 interview with Rolling Stone, Serj said of the doc: “[It’s] looking through my eyes at how message becomes reality through the arts. Instead of focusing on me as an artist, it asks, 'How does one’s message come to fruition? Can music change the world?'”

Truth To Power is due out on February 19, 2021 via Oscilloscope Laboratories.
Of course, with such a politically active history as Serj's, it's no surprise that SOAD raised an amazing $600,000 for charity this year alone with the release of their two surprise songs, Protect The Land and Genocidal Humanoidz.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for your incredible support of our campaign for the people of Artsakh, and for helping us raise over $600k in donations to provide for those in dire need via the Armenia Fund,” the band said. “Because of you, we will be able to help displaced civilians, young and old, who are affected by the hideous war crimes inflicted upon Artsakh by Azerbaijan and Turkey.”
