Sorry My Love and Awsten Knight collab on new single, Forget
Hear Waterparks’ Awsten Knight on Forget, the debut single from Sorry My Love (the new band from Dillon Francis and Albert Hype).
Waterparks have announced that their fifth album will be called INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, and it’s arriving in the spring…
We’ve had a string of brilliant Waterparks singles this year (FUNERAL GREY, SELF-SABOTAGE and FUCK ABOUT IT), and happily it turns out they’ve all been leading to a brand-new album.
The trio’s just-announced fifth full-length goes by the name INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, and it’ll drop in “spring 2023” via Fueled By Ramen.
The album cover looks like this:
And here’s the full tracklist – featuring those three massive 2022 singles, plus plenty more:
1. ST*RFUCKER
2. REAL SUPER DARK
3. FUNERAL GREY
4. BRAINWASHED
5. 2 BEST FRIENDS
6. END OF THE WATER (FEEL)
7. SELF-SABOTAGE
8. RITUAL
9. FUCK ABOUT IT
10. CLOSER
11. A NIGHT OUT ON EARTH
Speaking to Kerrang! a few months back about this next era of the band, Awsten Knight shared of the follow-up to last year's Greatest Hits: “A lot of what’s been – and being – written is very extroverted, because Greatest Hits was conceptually over the course of a night, and had a lot of references to indoor shit, and this one I wanted to feel almost like a reintroduction into daytime.
“And that’s kind of how things are right now – I’m not saying, ‘Everything’s over, throw away your masks!’ I’m not saying that at all, but people are going back out into the world, and they’re re-socialising and re-experiencing things again for the first time in a long time, and a lot of these songs are about those kinds of connections.”
Waterparks hit the UK next year, supporting You Me At Six at the following:
