Sorry My Love and Awsten Knight collab on new single, Forget
Hear Waterparks’ Awsten Knight on Forget, the debut single from Sorry My Love (the new band from Dillon Francis and Albert Hype).
After cancelling their INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 2: LOST IN THE PROPERTY album in the summer, Awsten Knight says he wants to give the fans some demos to listen to while Waterparks figure things out.
Waterparks have just shared a new two-song demo EP, entitled – deep breath – 2 (A COLLECTION OF UNRELEASED HOME DEMOS, THIS IS NOT J, OR EVEN AN ALBUM, SHUT UP ENJOY).
Consisting of the double-whammy of songs CALL ME BEEP ME and TALKING TO MYSELF, this new music arrives in the wake of the band cancelling their planned INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 2: LOST IN THE PROPERTY album in August.
In an honest statement on Instagram just a few days ago, frontman Awsten Knight explained of where they’re at right now – and why he wanted to release this new stuff in particular: “Been a weird time for Waterparks. No label, no management, it’s been heavy for me. Been working on a lot of music, finishing the fragrance and Hii Def pop up store, a lot of additional projects we can talk about, some very soon.
“Kinda been the only way to ‘deal’ but I also don’t wanna go ghost on y’all too long because none of what I’m making matters without you. While it’s not close to time for an album, I wanna give you some demos.”

Last April, Waterparks released their fifth LP INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. In our 4/5 review of the record, we said that: “When it comes to album six, at this point only Awsten knows what other layers of his life he’ll start peeling back. But in the meantime, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY is both an excellent deep-dive into one of rock’s most charismatic stars, and another compelling addition to a discography that always succeeds in bringing something fresh to the table.”
