Waterparks have pushed back the release of their FANDOM: Live In The UK concert movie – but you can watch it tonight during the band's virtual premiere event…
Though fans will now have to wait a little while longer for Waterparks' highly-anticipated FANDOM: Live In The UK concert movie to arrive, the Texan trio have announced a very special premiere event for tonight (November 24).
Awsten Knight and co. will be hanging out with fans – virtually, of course – from 2pm PST (10pm GMT), with the event also featuring the first watch of the film as well as a live Q&A.
"I’ve always wanted Waterparks to have a live concert DVD because I used to love watching them from other bands so much," the frontman says of FANDOM: Live In The UK. "The thing is, I wanted to approach it differently and try to make it into more of an art piece rather than strictly documentation of a night.
"As a co-director [along with Jawn Rocha], I wanted it to be like an IMAX Waterparks show but in an alternate universe and so every song is warped out and stylised to look how it feels to me while we’re performing. It took us six months of editing daily to create what we consider an innovative/abstract experience while still remaining cohesive and thoughtful. Order a physical copy when they drop because I designed the inside/outside of the packaging and it looks so tight, bless you and stay safe."
FANDOM: Live In The UK will be released on December 18 via Hopeless, with tickets to tonight's event available now at waterparks.veeps.com.
