TRON: Ares director says Nine Inch Nails’ score makes the film “grittier” and “more industrial”
Joachim Rønning has revealed that “Nine Inch Nails lends itself perfectly” to the world he’s creating for next year’s TRON: Ares…
NIN's Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Mariqueen Maandig Reznor and Mike Garson joined forces for this weekend's A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day! tribute.
Over the weekend, a host of bands and artists from the world of rock and beyond paid tribute to the late, great David Bowie, with Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor unveiling a pair of excellent covers.
Trent joined forces with NIN bandmate Atticus Ross, his wife Mariqueen Maandig Reznor (of How To Destroy Angels) and David Bowie pianist Mike Garson to perform renditions of Fantastic Voyage and Fashion.
When introducing Trent, Mike said on the stream: “In the early ’90s, David said to me, 'Keep an eye on this next singer. He’s someone to be reckoned with.' To have this gentleman become a very close friend and an artist that I admire is a beautiful thing.”

Ahead of the A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day! stream, last week Trent spoke of Bowie's impact on him – both as a fan of his music, and on a human level.
“I’m grateful that our lives intersected, and I’m grateful for – whether he knew it or not – how much he helped me in those dark times before I chose to get my shit together,” he said. “And I can hear his voice. He penetrated through the layers of bullshit that I’d built around myself. I’m grateful for that.”
