Leatherface returns after almost half a century in the gory, gruesome trailer for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which arrives on Netflix on February 18.
With the Texas Chainsaw Massacre arriving in presumably very grizzly style on February 18, Netflix have shared a brand-new trailer for the direct sequel to the 1974 slasher classic.
Set almost 50 years after the original, it sees Leatherface crossing paths with a group of young influencers who've hit the Texas town in a bid to 'breathe new life' into the area. As you'll have already guessed, it's quite a big mistake.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Fede Álvarez explained of where we find Leatherface in this 2022 follow-up: "It's basically the same character, who is still alive. Our take on it was this guy probably disappeared after everything he's done. You know, how do you catch a guy who has a mask? Once he removes the mask and runs away, it's very easy for him to hide somewhere. This story will pick it up many, many years after the original story. He's been in hiding for a long, long time, trying to be a good person. These people arriving in this town are going to awaken the giant."
