During his hour-long set on the Coachella stage on Friday night
(April 11), Washington singer-songwriter Benson Boone invited out an incredibly
special guest: Queen’s Brian May.
The 77-year-old guitar legend made an epic return to the stage this
month after suffering from a stroke last year (at the time, he revealed he “didn’t have any control” of his
left arm). Brian came out to shred during a
brilliant cover of Queen’s classic Bohemian Rhapsody, and also joined Benson
again to help perform 2024 breakout hit Beautiful Things.
After the performance, Benson took to TikTok to jokingly address the crowd reaction to Brian’s appearance, which on video seemed to be pretty quiet. He posted: “Me trying to get the crowd at Coachella to understand what an absolute legend Brian May is and the cultural impact he has on music and THE WORLD.”
Queen’s official account then commented: “You did great, Benson!”
