The Kerrang! staff’s top albums of 2024
You’ve seen the Kerrang! albums of 2024. Now check out what the staff were all listening to this year…
At last night’s mega Hurricane Festival headline set in Germany, Bring Me The Horizon brought out special guest Ian Sykes to help perform Antivist…
This year alone, Bring Me The Horizon have made their live performances of Antivist even more mind-blowing with various guest spots: there was Bad Omens’ Noah Sebastian on their January UK tour, and Sleep Token’s IV when they played in Australia.
But last night (June 23), at Germany’s Hurricane Festival, the band managed to secure arguably the most special guest vocalist of all: Oli Sykes’ dad, Ian.
“Help him out – he’s a little nervous…” teased the frontman before his dad came out to join them for the Sempiternal favourite, 13 songs into the setlist. But Ian soon settled into the role alongside his son, with Oli later telling the crowd during the song: “Make some noise for the coolest dad in the world!”
Incredible. Watch the performance below:
