Watch: Green Day preview new music from the studio

It's been over a month now since Green Day began to tease new music, and they're continuing to share snippets from what they got up to at London's RAK Studios in 2021.

While their most recent studio teaser from early January featured frontman Billie Joe Armstrong strumming an acoustic guitar, the trio's latest glimpse posted over the weekend sounds much different and sees the full band in action – maybe implying that whatever they've been up to, it'll be more than just the one new single that we're getting (an EP, perhaps?).

As well as the music and studio footage, the teaser once again features that all-important number: 1972. And, again, while we don't know what it means beyond it being Billie Joe, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool's birth year, we'll hopefully get to find out sooner rather than later…
