Avenged Sevenfold have released an epic video recapping their latest leg on The Stage World Tour.
The metal titans have spent the first couple of months of the year taking their transcendent live show throughout the U.S. and Canada, and they've very kindly documented the whole thing for our viewing pleasure. Lovely stuff.
In the clip, guitarist Zacky Vengeance explains of A7X's out-of-this-world production: "It took us about a year of deciding exactly what we wanted to do and which direction to go. I want fans to feel like they're not just getting a visual representation of the album, I want them to feel like they're travelling throughout the universe – and almost give them the Roger Waters The Wall effect, where the concert is more than just a concert. When we do something like this, it's all five band members putting our asses on the line to create something larger than life. Building it is unbelievably expensive, but it's what we love, and for us, it's not really so much a risk as, 'This is going to be awesome.' There's a lot of thought going into it."
With the tour now over, Avenged Sevenfold have got a couple of months off on the live front, before shows pick up again at the end of April. And then, of course, they've got the small matter of headlining Download Festival in June, alongside Guns N' Roses and Ozzy Osbourne. Less than 100 days to go, people!
Let's just leave this on repeat until then…
Awesome.
