Trent Reznor's Lockdown Plan Is To "Deep Dive Into New NIN Material"

While the coronavirus lockdown has already provided us with new Nine Inch Nails music in the form of double album Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts, frontman Trent Reznor has revealed that his immediate plans right now include working on even more material.

In a series of tweets celebrating the two-year anniversary of the band's Cold And Black And Infinite Tour going on sale, which required fans to actually buy tickets in person ("Strange to think about with the world the way it is now…"), Trent admits that, "I look forward to the day we can once again safely be in the same space and share the experience of screaming at the top of our lungs."

The frontman continues that, unfortunately, NIN had booked even more Cold And Black And Infinite shows for September and October this year with support from Jehnny Beth, and while that obviously won't be going ahead now, specific merch for the tour has gone online with profits going to "local food banks in the cities we were going to play".

For now, Trent shares that, "The current plan is to finish up some scoring projects, work on my limited patience skills, deep dive into new NIN material, and hopefully be playing music live for you in 2021." He also advises fans to listen to Jehnny Beth's record on June 12, "continue to listen to Bowie, and don’t be too hard on yourself".
