Good news: having wrapped up their touring for this year, Tool have just announced a trio of massive shows for 2025!

And they’re particularly special ones, too, as the band will headline Lollapalooza Chile, Lollapalooza Argentina and Lollapalooza Brazil to mark their first live performances in South America, apparently ever.

Also atop these bills is a genre-spanning combo of Olivia Rodrigo, Justin Timberlake, Shawn Mendes, Alanis Morissette and Rüfüs Du Sol, while elsewhere the line-ups include Benson Boone, Foster The People, Tate McRae, Parcels, Zedd, Charlotte de Witte, Teddy Swims, The Marías, Mon Laferte and Fontaines D.C.

Back in May, we asked bassist Justin Chancellor about Tool’s most recent album Fear Inoculum turning five, and how good of a place the band are in general these days…

“It does feel like a weight has been lifted,” he said. “I know that sounds weird, but it feels like a second chance as well after so many years of searching for, and trying to complete, something that we were all happy with. That we actually finally got to that point was a massive, massive victory. We really worked hard at that. Even though it seemed like we were just twiddling our thumbs, we were really digging for it. Getting there was a complete release of stress.

“And now we’re five years into touring, we’re all in a really good space. We’re all grown up now, just about… finally! We get on really well, we know how to tour together, how to talk to each other, how to treat each other and how to leave each other alone when we have to. It’s a good place to be. So my hope is that we’ll go and do another one and get another go at this.”
