Guns N’ Roses announce departure of drummer Frank Ferrer after 19 years in the band
Guns N’ Roses have confirmed the “amicable exit” of their longtime drummer Frank Ferrer, who played his last show with the band in November 2023.
If the original line-up announcement wasn’t already enough, the likes of Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Jason Momoa, Chad Smith and Rival Sons have signed up for Ozzy’s final performance with Black Sabbath this summer.
Even more massive stars have just been added to July’s incredible Back To The Beginning show at Villa Park.
Signing up to help say goodbye to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are new additions Guns N’ Roses, Tool and Rival Sons, plus host – and Hollywood megastar – Jason Momoa – and the likes of Chad Smith, Andrew Watt and Dave Ellefson joining the all-star band.
The sold-out event will take place in Birmingham on July 5, and marks Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward playing together for the first time in 20 years (a press release reveals that The Prince Of Darkness will ‘play his own short set before joining with Black Sabbath for his final bow’).
“It’s my time to go Back To The Beginning…” Ozzy says. “Time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”
