The official video for Josh Homme's Desert Sessions' Easier Said Than Done is here – and it's a truly bizarre visual treat.
If you've ever wanted to watch the Queens Of The Stone Age take a piss on Hitler before rollerskating beautifully through a whole load of chaos for the next three inutes, this Chapman Baehler-directed clip will probably suit you just fine. It arrives alongside the announcement of Josh's new bi-weekly series The Bizarre Bazaar in which Desert Sessions-inspired artwork will be auctioned off for charity; in the first of these auctions benefitting The Sweet Stuff Foundation, you can bid on a limited-edition quilt designed by Ben Venom.
"I describe my art as a collision between fine art, craft, and the fringes of society," says Ben. "Working with textiles, I contrast the often menacing and aggressive counterculture components of gangs, punk/metal music, and the occult with the comforts of domesticity. For the Crawling Death quilt, the fragility of the materials and their assaulting imagery are brought together in the form of a functional piece of art. This piece was made in collaboration with the Desert Sessions and it has been an honor to participate in the project."
