Queens Of The Stone Age have announced the cancellation of some more festival performances this summer.

Josh Homme was flown home earlier this month due to needing “emergency surgery”, and the band have now said that the singer is going to have to stay put at home in America while he continues to recover.

As such, QOTSA won’t be appearing at Way Out West, Oya Festival, Syd for Solen, Festival Cabaret Vert, Lowlands Festival, Pukkelpop or Villar de Mouros this August.

“Due to continued medical care,” they announce, “it is under doctor’s orders that Josh Homme remain in their care in the United States.

“The Homme family and QOTSA are so grateful for the outpouring of well wishes and kind understanding during this time.”
