The Darkness drop high-energy single: “A joyous, raucous celebration of self-loathing”
Listen to The Darkness’ self-deprecating new single I Hate Myself, taken from their forthcoming album Dreams On Toast.
Fresh from supporting Guns N’ Roses at Hyde Park, The Darkness have announced a proper UK and Ireland headline tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Permission To Land.
After revealing in March that they’d be announcing a UK and Ireland leg of their Permission To Land 20 world tour, The Darkness have made good on that promise and officially unveiled a nine-date headline run.
Celebrating two decades of their brilliant 2003 debut album, the band will be hitting Belfast, Dublin, Norwich, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, Nottingham and Wolverhampton this December.
“We, The Darkness, are delighted to announce that we’ll be hitting the road in the UK once again,” announces frontman Justin Hawkins. “To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Permission To Land, our set will include every song from our debut album faithfully reproduced – with additional clam notes and meanderings – in the order in which they appear on the record.
“We’ll also play all of your favourite Darkness songs from the rest of our illustrious and tipsy turvy career. It will be the best show you’ll see this year. I should know, I’m the singer and also a YouTube music expert.”
Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 7 at 9am.
