Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
Get up close with each new Slipknot mask
Yesterday, Slipknot finally unveiled their new masks to coincide with their new album We Are Not Your Kind. The video for Unsainted was the first glimpse of Slipknot’s sixth era of masks, plus the addition of an as-yet-unnamed new member.
A new promotional photo was released to accompany the news, but now Slipknot have posted a series of nine portraits on Instagram, showing off each new mask, lurking in the shadows.
Few words accompany the images, just the hashtag #wearenotyourkind. The post for original member includes his number, whereas Jay Weinberg and V-Man is simply their names. The new drummer is not marked in any way, although at the time of writing, his image has attracted the most number of likes on Instagram.
Slipknot’s new album We Are Not Your Kind will be released on August 9 through Roadrunner Records. They will be performing new single Unsainted live Jimmy Kimmel tonight (May 17), which will be their first live performance of any material from the new record.
The band will headline this year’s Download festival in the UK on June 15 – get your tickets now. Slipknot then take the Knotfest Roadshow tour (with Behemoth, Volbeat and Gojira) across North America throughout the summer.
