Rob Halford's Message Of Unity Is The Boost We All Need Right Now

In times of crisis, some people turn to their families, some people turn to faith, some people just scream at the sky... but some of us turn to The Metal God himself, Rob Halford.

Yesterday (March 22) the Judas Priest frontman shared a vital message of kindness, respect and safety for all the "metal maniacs" out there.

While busy disinfecting his various leather implements – including his iconic whip and hat – Rob called on the metal community to come together.

"We know what we’ve got to do – as far as keeping things clean – and that includes washing your hands as many times a day as is needed," says Rob in the video below. "Try and be isolated, if you go out, don’t buy everything; don’t be a toilet paper hoarder, don’t be a kitchen roll hoarder, don’t be a hoarder of any sort because we’re all in this together.

"We’ve got to keep each other safe," he continues. "We have to do the isolating, we have to do the quarantining, whatever we need to do. This is serious, but we’re gonna get through it because we’ve been through these problems, these situations before in history. Humanity has this great tenacity to pull together and be strong and overcome the things that come before us.

"So look after each other, look after yourselves, your family, your friends, your loved ones. Stay in touch, that’s an important thing – text each other, FaceTime, Instagram, all of it is incredibly important. When there’s a lot of fear floating around this is when we really have to look out for each other, do what’s necessary and the right thing to do."

Judas Priest are currently scheduled to headline this year's Bloodstock festival in Catton Park, Derbyshire, before heading out across North America with Sabaton in September and October. They'll also be supporting Ozzy Osbourne on his upcoming tour of the UK and Europe.
