phem searches for closure on new single, Kites
Listen to phem’s new single Kites, which is about having to “give up the idea that they’re ever coming back”.
Before supporting Avril Lavigne in the UK this month and next, phem has unveiled a “multi-levelled” new single, donuts.
Following a collab with Awsten Knight earlier in the year, and then the release of their single absolutely nothing in April, phem has shared another brand-new tune: donuts.
Before the rising LA alt. star supports Avril Lavigne over here in the UK this summer, phem has given fans something new to sing along to in advance of those shows (so get learning the words, now).
“donuts are a metaphor for so many things,” phem explains of the meaning behind this latest track. “One being in that flow state, or a never-ending cycle you wish would end. This song is multi-levelled. The obvious one is the relationship with someone from my past, the less obvious is the relationship I have with myself…”
