The Kerrang! Chart: The best new music this week
The ultimate new music countdown – every Friday!
Loathe and Code Orange are teaming up for four co-headline dates in Germany this summer. UK too plz?!
Both Loathe and Code Orange have got plenty of exciting stuff on this year, and now they’re teaming up for a run of summer shows in Germany.
The two bands will hit Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich and Cologne from June 18 – 21, with tickets going on sale this Friday, February 24.
Of course, the following month Loathe will be touring the UK supporting Spiritbox and Brand Of Sacrifice. For Code Orange, meanwhile, they’ll finally be making their UK return at Outbreak Fest after these German dates.
Speaking to Kerrang! last week about their delayed return across the pond, Code Orange frontman Jami Morgan explained: “I feel like we’ve been so supported by the UK, but people didn’t really understand what was going on [during the pandemic] for bands. They don’t understand how much money was going to be lost by doing some of that stuff. We literally couldn’t afford to do that stuff – in a real-world sense. We can’t pay 20-grand extra to come to the UK. It’s not possible.”
Anyway, despite their respective live commitments elsewhere in the UK, here’s hoping Loathe and Code Orange bring this co-headline tour over here, too…
