The Kerrang! Chart: The best new music this week
The ultimate new music countdown – every Friday!
Loathe frontman Kadeem France joins forces with Code Orange’s Jami Morgan and Eric ‘Shade’ Balderose for new NOWHERE2RUN banger Ant In The Afterbirth.
Fans have been waiting a loooong time for new stuff from Loathe – following 2020’s incredible I Let It In And It Took Everything album, and 2021 instrumental follow-up The Things They Believe – but they can at least hear Kadeem France on the new single from NOWHERE2RUN.
The frontman joins the Code Orange side-project – comprised of Jami Morgan and Eric ‘Shade’ Balderose – for the exhilarating industrial banger Ant In The Afterbirth, which according to Genius was also produced by Loathe’s Erik Bickerstaffe, along with Jami and Shade.
And it’ll certainly do in the meantime, until Loathe’s long-awaited next record drops. They’ve been playing live plenty throughout 2024 – including supporting Fightstar at Wembley, joining Korn at Gunnersbury Park, and playing Reading & Leeds in the summer. In our review of the latter set, Kerrang! said that “Loathe are the best they’ve ever been live”, with the band “pelting the audience with their most cataclysmic tracks” throughout an astonishing 30-minute set.
Watch this space for more when we have it, but until then, check out Ant In The Afterbirth below:
