Empire State Bastard’s Tired, Aye? has gotten a new full-band update ahead of their UK and European tour…
To mark the beginning to their tour in Paris tonight, Empire State Bastard have just unveiled a (sort of) new song.
The crushing trio have shared an updated version of Rivers Of Heresy track Tired, Aye? with a full-band rendition called Tired, Naw?. “We’re delighted to share the fully suited, original version of Tired, Aye?: Tired, Naw?,” say ESB. “The magical Mike Bourne has created another outstanding, mind-bending video for the song. It’s pure nightmare fuel. Sweet dreams.”
Speaking to Kerrang! about the original, Mike Vennart previously joked that, “It’s the best song I’ve ever written that I don’t appear on. I got thrown out of my own band for one song.”
“This was the first song Mike sent me, so, symbolically, it’s been a terrible start to a relationship because I muted the guitars and bass, as I’d always wanted to do a song just with drums and vocal,” added Simon Neil. “I think it’s obnoxious in the best possible way. And Mike was kind enough to let me fulfil my extreme music dreams.”
