Judas Priest announce huge London gig with Alice Cooper
Judas Priest’s 2025 Shield Of Pain tour is getting even more massive, with a new date in Scarborough and an absolutely whopping show at The O2 in London.
Rob Halford encourages fans to get vaccinated so we can all be "side by side, horns way up at clubs, theatres, arenas and festivals" as soon as possible…
Rob Halford is calling on the metal community to get vaccinated so we can return to "clubs, theatres, arenas and festivals" sooner rather than later.
The Judas Priest vocalist – who has had both doses of the coronavirus jab – uploaded a new video on Instagram thanking his followers for "doing the right thing by getting the life-saving vaccine that will eventually eradicate COVID-19 around the world", as well as urging those who haven't yet to "please step up".
"Hi everyone," says Rob. "This is your Metal God, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, sending you a massive shoutout of thanks to our metal community for doing the right thing by getting the life-saving vaccine that will eventually eradicate COVID-19 around the world. One thing we're proud about in metal is that we not only stand together united for our music but also for each other.
He continues: "Common sense states that by having the jab, we're opening up one of the most important areas that we have so desperately missed, which is being side-by-side, horns way up at clubs, theatres, arenas and festivals where who we are and what we live for is tangible and real with the bands we love. So let's get those amazing vibes and feelings back faster.
"I urge those of us who have not yet been vaccinated to please step up."
Rob also shared a link to madetosave.org, a grassroots campaign working to make sure everyone can get access to a vaccine.
