Judas Priest Roar Back With New Single Lightning Strike

British metal icons Judas Priest are back with their first single from new album, Firepower. Lightning Strike is taken from the band's forthcoming album - their 18th in total - which is released on March 9 via Columbia Records.

Firepower will feature 14 new tracks, and sees the five-piece team up with GRAMMY award winning producer Andy Sneap and producer Tom Allom, who manned the desk on their legendary 1979-1988 releases.

“Tom Allom has got this classic metal thing,” explains vocalist Rob Halford. “And Andy is a bit more of a modern metal producer, but his thinking is a little bit different to Tom’s. And I think to get this balance between that classic old school metal to what Andy’s world is was just a remarkable coalescence.”

“Tom Allom has been with us since 1979, so his knowledge of ourselves and our music in general is immense,” adds bassist Ian Hill.
