Hayley Williams voices support for LGBTQ+ community and condemns former Paramore bandmates with "religiously/politically dogmatic beliefs".
In posting a statement of love and support to LGBTQ+ "friends, fans and family", Hayley Williams has suggested that "religiously/politically dogmatic beliefs" are the reason that certain members of Paramore are no longer in the band.
"There's a reason there are only three people left in Paramore," says the musician. "Surprise, haters, it ain't cause of me."
Hayley states that the band – completed by guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro – "do not condone religiously/politically dogmatic beliefs which leave our LGBTQ+ friends, fans and family feeling abandoned and hopeless".

"And, ya know," she continues, "if that doesn’t jive with you, well, feel free to go to where all past members of Paramore have gone which is literally anywhere else but Paramore."
The two tweets, which have now been liked and retweeted in their hundreds of thousands, arrived after it was alleged that former guitarist Josh Farro (who left the band in 2010) had posted a statement online calling homosexuality a 'perversion'. At the time of writing, he is yet to respond to Hayley's tweets.
