Guns N’ Roses announce departure of drummer Frank Ferrer after 19 years in the band
Guns N’ Roses have confirmed the “amicable exit” of their longtime drummer Frank Ferrer, who played his last show with the band in November 2023.

It's been a while since we heard anything from Guns N' Roses about potential new material, but the Los Angeles hard rock legends have "fastidiously" been working on fresh music behind the scenes.
The exciting news comes courtesy of bassist Duff McKagan's wife, Susan Holmes McKagan, who was a recent guest on the Appetite For Distortion podcast.

As well as chatting about her novel The Velvet Rose, which was published in April last year, Susan dropped the bombshell: “I will say Guns N’ Roses have been working fastidiously on some killer new stuff.
“I can't say much, but I've heard bits and bobs and it's pretty epic,” she continues. "I do want to spread good news, but not detailed news, I guess. Hopefully that’ll put a spring in your step!”
We don't know about you guys, but 'spring in our step' is an understatement.

Last year, Duff revealed that the follow-up to 2006's Chinese Democracy was in the works, revealing that there were "some jams going around".
“The fun part and the cool part about Guns N’ Roses is we don’t really talk about it, and what happens next just happens,” he said. “It’s never been that band that there’s a direct schedule of how we do things.
“I’ve heard some magnificent stuff that Axl [Rose] has – really cool stuff he’s been working on. I’m excited about the possibilities with that, of course.
“[A new Guns N’ Roses album] will happen when it happens, that’s for sure.”
