Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
With next year marking the 25th anniversary of their iconic 1999 self-titled debut album, Corey Taylor says Slipknot might be doing “a handful of shows all over the world” in celebration.
With Slipknot giving us some killer setlist treats at their Download Festival headline set earlier this month, we could be getting even more surprises next year from the band…
In a new interview with Chaoszine, frontman Corey Taylor has revealed that The Nine have been talking about doing “a handful of shows all over the world” for the anniversary of their iconic self-titled debut album, which turns 25 in 2024.
Of course, that’s an almighty bombshell to drop, so the vocalist does add the caveat: “Now, don’t quote me on that! Best way to make God laugh is to announce your plans out loud. But that's what we’re hinting at, it’s what we’re talking about.”
Unsurprisingly, Corey adds that his biggest focus next year will be on his solo stuff, with new album CMF2 dropping on September 15 via Decibel Cooper / BMG, and lots of touring to surely follow.

Throwing things back even further, last week it was announced that original ’Knot vocalist Anders Colsefni will be performing early 1996 demo Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. in full on tour this year.
Sharing his support on Twitter, Corey posted: “Really wish I could be there to see these shows, but I know @anderscolsefni is going to crush them.”
