Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
Corey Taylor has released new single Beyond, confirmed full details of his second solo album CMF2, and announced a U.S. headline tour.
Having been teased for a little while now, today Corey Taylor has officially confirmed details of his second solo album, CMF2.
Due out on September 15 via Decibel Cooper / BMG, the follow-up to his CMFT debut is, according to Corey, “more where we’re going”, whereas the debut was “kind of where I was coming from”.
CMF2 is previewed with lead single Beyond, of which the musician explains: “I originally wrote it as an aggressive romantic song, but I’m also looking at it now as a kind of ‘come together’ song. Bringing the masses together, and letting them know that I want my music to take them beyond what they may think about me. Maybe they’ve had a misconception about me. It’s not exactly a calling card, more like throwing the bat signal up and being, ‘Alright, let's turn everything on its head.’ It’s almost a dual threat, because now I look at it from two standpoints.”
