Following Nicko McBrain’s retirement from touring, Iron Maiden have revealed that “a name familiar to many of our fans” will be stepping in next year.
The Mandrake Project, Iron Maiden air-raid siren Bruce Dickinson’s seventh solo outing, lands in early 2024…
Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has revealed the first details of a new solo venture, coming in 2024. Titled The Mandrake Project, it finds Brucie reuniting with longtime collaborator and producer Roy Z, with whom he teamed up for previous solo albums Balls To Picasso, Accident Of Birth, The Chemical Wedding and Tyranny Of Souls.
“This album has been a very personal journey for me and I am extremely proud of it. Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years, and I am very excited for people to finally hear it.
“As for what The Mandrake Project actually is… all will be revealed soon!”
Though no new music has been released just yet, Bruce already has a bunch of gigs in the diary. In Mexico and Brazil. But fear not, dates seemingly everywhere else are in the works…
