Avenged Sevenfold Reveal Story Behind Paradigm In New Video

Avenged Sevenfold have shared the fifth episode of their Breakdown video series.

In the latest clip, guitarist Synyster Gates and frontman M. Shadows turn to the writing and recording process for the song Paradigm, taken from their 2016 album, The Stage.

In the 13-minute clip, Gates reveals that the chorus proved something of an obstacle in the studio.

"It was like the second thing we came up with, then we were listening to all of our options and we couldn't figure it out," explains Gates. "We were super fucking frustrated."

"We must have moved on for a long time," adds Shadows. "We came back, and you and Johnny [Christ, bass] liked it. It needed work... but it worked out. It's one of my favourite songs and the chorus is one of the main parts of that."
