System Of A Down add new stadium dates with Korn, A7X and Deftones
System Of A Down’s previously-announced stadium dates with Korn, Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones have already sold out, with the band adding second nights in each city.
Metal titans Avenged Sevenfold have been telling loads of interesting stories in a new video.
In a new episode of Happy Hour At Johnny's House, Avenged Sevenfold's Johnny Christ and Syn Gates have been reflecting on their early days as a band, and telling some pretty bizarre stories.
The bassist and guitarist teamed up for the next instalment of Happy Hour… in a St. Patrick's Day special, also roping in Syn's dad for a particularly disgusting story about the time, um, Johnny pissed on his face.
Reflecting on Johnny's early involvement in Avenged Sevenfold at the start of the clip, the pair discuss the bassist's meth addiction and how he once broke five bass strings in one 20-minute show.
"Luckily, with all that stuff that you said, in all seriousness, it did wake me up, and that's honestly when I stopped with the drugs like that and everything," Johnny reflects on the positive impact Avenged had on him. "It definitely, in many ways, saved me."
Then Johnny and Syn go on to talk about a trip to Ireland in which they met – and even ended up sitting next to – Game Of Thrones stars Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) on the plane.
It's an entertaining watch, so check it out below.
In more A7X news, it looks like we won't be hearing much in the way of new music or touring plans from the band this year.
As confirmed by radio host Lou Brutus, guitarist Zacky Vengeance said in a text conversation with him: “I don’t think we will be doing any touring this year. Got some new babies on the way and are starting to get really focused on new material. I never deal in absolutes, but right now it’s leaning heavily towards 2020.”
