System Of A Down add new stadium dates with Korn, A7X and Deftones
System Of A Down’s previously-announced stadium dates with Korn, Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones have already sold out, with the band adding second nights in each city.
There’s an Avenged Sevenfold x Fortnite crossover in the works – and it’s coming “soon”…
Avenged Sevenfold are no strangers to the world of video games, and their pursuit continues as they’ve just teased a new collab with Fortnite.
The Huntington Beach gang have shared a new teaser video for the online survival game with the caption “…soon”. It’s a clip of a character in Fortnite simply sweeping the floor next to their iconic Deathbat logo, while the Frank Sinatra-esque Life Is But A Dream… track (D)eath soundtracks the video: ‘In my dreams,’ sings M. Shadows. ‘I awake as daylight breaks and wash my face / Put my bedroom back in its place and tucked away…’
But what does it all mean?
Speaking to Kerrang! earlier in the year about the aforementioned (D)eath, as well as the song’s predecessors G and (O)rdinary, frontman M. Shadows reflected of the first time he listened back to that trilogy in a row: “It was shocking!” he enthused. “I felt, for the first time, what someone might experience when they listen to it, and how it goes from progressive, Zappa-esque stuff to all of a sudden funk, Daft Punk to, like, Frank Sinatra and Wizard Of Oz.
“I was like, ‘Okay, this is fucking rad.’”
