This weekend Linkin Park played an incredibly moving show with lots of other artists at the Hollywood Bowl to honour the band’s late lead singer, Chester Bennington, who was found dead in his California home on July 20.
His bandmates were joined by 30 other artists and bands, including blink-182, Avenged Sevenfold and members of Sum 41 and System Of A Down.
The three hour show was called Linkin Park Celebrates Life in Honour of Chester Bennington and was led by Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda. You can see the whole thing here.
Chester Bennington was a hell of a frontman and musician, but in particular, Chester's lyrics touched a lot of lives, changed a lot of lives and possibly even saved a lot of lives. We'd like find a way to remember that.
What we'd like to get from you is tweet us (using the hashtag #chesterlyrics) a picture of you holding your favourite Chester Bennington lyrics up on a card (or paper, or whatever you've got to hand to write them out on), together with a bit of info that explains why the lyrics are so important to you. We're going to put something cool together.
