Weezer enlist TLC's Chilli for their epic cover of No Scrubs at Coachella
Earlier this year, Weezer dropped their surprise covers album Teal, which featured Weezerfied versions of Africa by Toto, Paranoid by Black Sabbath and Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) by Eurythmics. But one song really caught our attention, and that was their cover of '90s bona fide pop banger No Scrubs by TLC.
And now, not only have Weezer performed it live at Coachella, but they've roped in Chilli from TLC to help them sing!
Chilli, real name Rozonda Thomas, joined Weezer on the main stage at Coachella this weekend, for the second of three covers in the greatest hits setlist – the other two being Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears and (obviously) Africa by Toto.
And, with this being Coachella, there is a lot of crowd footage of the pop-rock collaboration all over social media. Check out Weezer and Chilli's performance below. Here's hoping they bring out Annie Lennox for Sweet Dreams next time.
