Split Chain have covered Type O Negative’s I Don’t Wanna Be Me
Split Chain have just unleashed an ace cover of Type O Negative’s 2003 punk rock classic I Don’t Wanna Be Me.
“It’s never too late to find yourself, figure out your reason to be here and know where your haven is…” Listen to Split Chain’s new single now.
Fresh from their last-minute addition to the Download bill this weekend, Split Chain have unleashed a brand-new single.
The UK nu-gazers have shared Haven along with an accompanying video, with frontman Bert Martinez-Cowles revealing that it’s actually one that the band have “been sitting on for a while, but it now feels like it encompasses everything that Split Chain is, and what it will be”.
The singer continues: “Lyrically it surrounds the theme of empowerment and fighting against past struggles and issues – something that I’ve never done with my songwriting before. This is a track for everyone that’s ever felt a loss of control in their own lives, due to the impact of negative people: it’s never too late to find yourself, figure out your reason to be here and know where your haven is.”
