YUNGBLUD: “I made a f*cking rock opera double album”
Having been busy putting together the line-up for next year’s Bludfest, YUNGBLUD has revealed he’s also been working on music that “looks like it’s going to be a double album”.
YUNGBLUD pays a visit to Great Britain medalist Sky Brown in Venice Beach for a much-needed lesson in skateboarding…
Following her incredible bronze medal success at the 2020 Summer Olympics, Great Britain pro skateboarder Sky Brown – who is the youngest professional skater in the world at the age of 13 – has used her talents to try to help out YUNGBLUD.
Sky met the musician – real name Dom Harrison – in Venice Beach to attempt to teach him to skate, running through the basics while also being a general badass and showing off some of her own moves at the skatepark. The pair also discussed Sky's terrible accident in California last year, in which she fell from a 15-foot halfpipe and was left with many serious injuries including skull fractures and a broken wrist and hand. "I think I was knocked out for, like, 16 hours," she tells a shocked YUNGBLUD.
Of course, Sky overcame that horrific hurdle and won a bronze in Japan this summer, before also then helping YUNGBLUD from getting too hurt as he learned how to skate. "I'm a terrible skateboarder, and completely dressed inappropriately for today's activities…" he told the camera, before falling over on more than one occasion…
"Sky Brown and YUNGBLUD meet up in Venice Beach, CA, where Sky shows off her athletic prowess and gives YUNGBLUD a lesson in skateboarding basics," reads the video description. "The music and sports crossover series From The Top, executive produced by Elton John, introduces Olympians with musical artists both at the top of their game and examines the similarities of their paths to greatness."
