The Kerrang! staff’s top albums of 2024
You’ve seen the Kerrang! albums of 2024. Now check out what the staff were all listening to this year…
Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes lays down some heavy new vocals in the studio.
We've already seen Oli Sykes "bring back the guttural" in Bring Me The Horizon's entertaining studio updates recently, and now the frontman is back at it once more in a video appropriately titled 08BMTHS2-just sum screams-.mp4.
In a new eight-minute clip uploaded to the band's YouTube, there's a whole bunch of goofing around from Oli and musical mastermind Jordan Fish – as we've come to expect – as the pair work remotely on new music.

And, as amusing as that may be (a conversation between Oli, his dad and a friend about the plural of 'mouse' is particularly hilarious), what really caught our attention is Oli getting aggressive in his vocal booth.
Though Jordan seemingly gets distracted by a fly and forgets to hit 'record' as the frontman lays down his screams later on in the video, it's safe to assume that Bring Me The Horizon are cooking up some heavy new stuff in lockdown.
Before we hear that, though, Bring Me The Horizon are set to drop their new single Parasite Eve soon. Originally scheduled to come out on June 10, Oli announced that it had been pushed back due to everything that's going on in the world right now.
“…with the incredible movement that is taking place currently we don’t feel comfortable releasing and promoting anything that takes the focus off what’s important right now," he said. "I know you will all understand because we have the best fans in the world and I promise you we won’t make you wait too long and the good news is more music will be coming soon after P.E too. But for now keep fighting the good fight and stay tuned.”
