Metallica pay tribute to Alice In Chains with a truly powerful cover of the band's 1992 classic Would?
Last night (December 1), some of rock and metal's biggest names joined forces to pay tribute to the mighty Alice In Chains as part of a virtual event in which the Seattle legends received this year's Museum Of Pop Culture (MoPOP) Founders Award.
The likes of Korn, Mastodon, Nirvana's Krist Novoselic, Billy Corgan, Corey Taylor and more all performed virtually to honour Alice In Chains, with Metallica opting for an incredible stripped-down cover of 1992 classic Would?.

"Hey, Alice In Chains!" said frontman James Hetfield after performing the cover. "Congratulations on the MoPOP Founders Award. We're glad to be a part of your journey in life, and [it's] really cool to have gotten to know you guys, and to tour with you guys, and play music with you guys. You are much appreciated, and thank for you continuing on playing music and offering some inspiration for the new musicians of the world."
"Boys, fellas, brothers," added Lars Ulrich. "I'll second everything that James just said: you guys are a true inspiration. Thank you for being brothers in arms, friends in arms. What are we coming up on? Thirty years here. Much love to all of you from San Fransisco."
