Doing their bit to help keep boredom at bay during lockdown, Metallica have shared another full gig as part of their Metallica Mondays series, this time from their hometown show at 2017’s Outside Lands Festival.
Like us, the band are missing live music while they stay in, and set up the series as a way of remembering what we’ve got to look forward to once gigs start again. “While we’re all doing our part and staying home, we find ourselves missing live music, so how about we dive back into a few of our favourite shows at a socially responsible distance?” they said. “Let’s stay connected and virtually visit a few of our favourite places in the world together as we bring a series of live Metallica shows right to your couch!”
Not only that, but viewers can also donate to the band’s All Within My Hands foundation, which has already given $350,000 to charities providing aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.
