Watch a segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in which Green Day – in disguises – go busking in front of some unsuspecting New York commuters…
Just a couple of days ago, we saw some incredible fan-shot footage of Green Day performing a surprise acoustic set with Jimmy Fallon… on the platform of a New York subway station, of all places.
Well, today the official video segment as part of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon has hit YouTube, and it’s absolutely awesome. It sees Jimmy and the band – Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool – head to 47th–50th Streets – Rockefeller Center in disguise for a spot of busking, kicking things off in unsuspecting fashion with a cover of Bad Company’s Feel Like Makin’ Love. Then, the disguises come off and everyone gathered on the platform loses their minds to Basket Case.
Of course, it was all done in celebration of the release of Green Day’s brilliant new album Saviors, which is out today.
