Watch Fall Out Boy On TV Game Show The Price Is Right

While Fall Out Boy are still plotting out their next musical steps as a band, one half of the Chicago pop-punk kings made an appearance on TV show The Price Is Right yesterday (January 21) as part of the Music Week edition of the show.

In the run-up to the 62nd annual GRAMMYs, FOB's Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump stopped by the price-checking show, with bassist Pete in particular showing his epic spinning skills on the programme's famous wheel and Patrick cheering him on brilliantly. "Two weeks in and I have already peaked this decade," Pete then posted on Twitter afterwards.

Of course, Pete does already have TV game show experience, having been covered in slime in 2019 for a revival of classic Nickelodeon programme Double Dare.

“I’ve been covered in many substances so far,” he joked at the time on the show. “A lot of cold liquids and orange powder of some kind. I grew up watching it, and I remember them stuffing flags in their shirts and stuff. I always wanted to be on it! I also remember, when I was little, I was like, ‘I’d be able to do all those physical challenges.’ They’re harder! I’ll tell this to little people: they’re harder than I thought…”

Kerrang! recently spoke to Fall Out Boy about their potential plans for a follow-up to 2018 album M A N I A, with Patrick revealing: “We’ve had a lot of talks. There’s two schools of thought. One is that you have a record cycle, you put out records and then you go on tour and blah, blah, blah. That’s a very ‘business’ thing. And there’s the other school, which is you wait to be inspired, you experiment, and you discover. I feel like at this point we have the luxury of choosing, and I’m personally choosing to be inspired. Look, I flat out don’t want to be in my 70s, on a bus playing stadiums – I don’t want to be The Rolling Stones. But if Pete has lyrics that are that compelling, I will. That’s exactly what the interplay is. At this point, I’m kind of waiting around for those kind of songs. And we have the bubblings of them…”

“Really?” replied Pete. “I don’t I want to say we have the bubblings of anything, because I don’t think there are. If there are bubblings, they are known only to Patrick!”

“I mean, they could be many, many years off – I don’t know,” Patrick continued. “I really don’t know what it’s going to take, but I do know that the next record we put out, or whatever we do next, it’s going to be something that we really care about. And it’s something that we’re going to spend a lot of time on.”
