Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst makes a surprise appearance in DIIV’s new video for Brown Paper Bag…
DIIV have shared a brand-new single, Brown Paper Bag.
Taken from the shoegazers’ upcoming fourth album Frog In Boiling Water – which is due out on May 24 via Fantasy Records – the track is accompanied by a Saturday Night Live parody video starring Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst as the host.
Previewing the whole thing a couple of days ago, DIIV and Fred shared a teaser video in which the nu-metal legend cryptically stated, “There’s a frog in the hot dog, if you know what I’m saying. Inter-dimensional or not, I don’t know. I’m a goddamn cosmic thunderlord and I’m here to present you the best show you’ve ever seen, and these guys are badass.”
Commenting on the video on Instagram, Fred also wrote to DIIV, “It’s been a dream of mine to host SNL, especially with a band as cozy as yours.” O…kay then?! Watch the video below:
DIIV play dates in London, Manchester and Dublin next month.
