Tyler Joseph gives update on twenty one pilots’ Clancy music videos

After recently promising that every song on their new album Clancy will have an accompanying music video, Tyler Joseph has revealed when we’ll be able to watch all of twenty one pilots’ upcoming promos.

Ahead of the record’s release on May 17 via Fueled By Ramen, the frontman has taken to Twitter/X to reveal that work is well underway on this mammoth visual project, and that all videos “must come out the day the album comes out”.

We’ve already had two of them, of course, in the form of Overcompensate and Next Semester, so that means behind-the-scenes they’re working on at least 11 more (we say ‘at least’ because last month Tyler said one of the songs has “two versions”).

The musician also reveals that drummer Josh Dun “said yes to directing one” of these videos, and Tyler also sends his sympathy to the band’s longtime collaborator Mark Eshleman of Reel Bear Media for such an ambitious job: “Apologies to the team,” Tyler concludes, “but I have a lot of ideas, let’s make this happen.”

In a second, non-Clancy-related update, Tyler has also announced the birth of his and wife Jenna’s son, Tommy – congratulations!
