Watch twenty one pilots’ incredible performance from The Game Awards 2024
Watch twenty one pilots perform The Line with an orchestra as part of an Arcane: League Of Legends medley at The Game Awards in LA.
Even in lockdown, twenty one pilots are still managing to be incredibly cryptic…
Update: Tyler Joseph has taken to Twitter to confirm that this is indeed Level Of Concern-related, writing:
"listen, i know we’ve been spanking this song raw, but because we’re in between albums and can’t connect with you guys through shows, we’re using this song as a vehicle, and i think you are going to like what we have planned.
"i never want to lose your trust, so we always make sure that when we hint at something that isn’t new music then we let you know up front. doesn’t mean we didn’t put a lot of work in to what this will be though."
Original story: Ever the masters of being cryptic on social media, twenty one pilots have just started teasing something.
Posting a short video titled LOC-061-220-2012P with recent single Level Of Concern being played over the top of it, fans online are already speculating about what this is pointing to, with a YouTube link in the same post scheduled to go live on June 12 at 5pm BST.
Of course, the coded name in the teaser could point to the duo's recent Løcatiøn Sessiøns series, which featured some brilliant reimagined versions of songs like The Hype, Cut My Lip and Chlorine. But, given that Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun have reworked Level Of Concern with their (live from outside) adaption already, perhaps not.

Of course, Tyler did reveal in May that he was working on the band's next album – the follow-up to 2018's Trench. Could it be even more new music?
“I’m writing a record right now,” the frontman revealed last month. “I’m not sure when it’ll be released, but it’s definitely going to be really sooner than we were planning on releasing a record.”
Explaining how he sees it following – or not following – on from the Trench storyline, Tyler said, “I don’t know if it’s this in-between record or if it’s a continuation of the narrative and where we left off. It’s kind of hard for me to tap into the story of Trench and what we’ve been building on up until that point without being out there, without touring, without having those live shows, without interacting with our fans.”
