Toto will bless the rains down in Africa for eternity with a new art installation
Africa by Toto might be the internet's favourite song, and now it's gone full meta thanks to Namibian-German artist Max Siedentopf.
Max has set up a series of speakers and a solar-powered mp3 player somewhere in the Namib Desert, which will play Africa on loop forever.
"[I] wanted to pay the song the ultimate homage and physically exhibit 'Africa' in Africa," explains the 27-year-old artist.
"Some [Namibians] love it and some say it's probably the worst sound installation ever. I think that's a great compliment."
Max hasn't disclosed the location of the art installation, but says that most parts of the installation were chosen to be as durable as possible to try and survive the harsh environment.
It's certainly not your usual art installation, some might say it's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do...
...Sorry.
